Description
La Máscara Red Blend 2024 is a characterful expression of Uruguay’s coastal terroir, bringing together two distinctly complementary grapes: 50% Tannat and 50% Barbera. This dry red balances the structure and depth of Tannat with Barbera’s juicy brightness, resulting in an effortlessly drinkable yet intriguingly complex wine.
Expect vibrant black fruits such as blackberry, plum, and black cherry, interwoven with gentle spice and a subtle savoury edge. The palate is fresh and lively, carried by soft, rounded tannins and a clean line of acidity that keeps the wine beautifully balanced. The finish is smooth, lifted, and quietly mineral.
Made with minimal intervention, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts before being lightly filtered. Only a small touch of sulfites is added at bottling, preserving purity while maintaining stability.
