Description
This dry red wine, crafted entirely from Saperavi grapes, originates in the Kakheti region of Georgia. The vineyard lies at 400-500 meters above sea level, with alluvial soils rich in clay and limestone. The region's continental climate, characterized by hot summers and mild winters, ensures optimal grape ripening. Hand-harvested in mid-September, only the finest grapes are selected for this expressive wine.
Vinification includes controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 25-28°C, with extended skin contact for 15-20 days to enhance structure and depth. The wine is aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and varietal purity, resulting in a wine that fully showcases the character of Saperavi.
In the glass, the wine displays a deep, dark ruby hue with garnet reflections. The nose is intense and complex, offering aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry, and plum. On the palate, it is full-bodied and robust, with balanced acidity and flavors of black fruit, including blackberry, blackcurrant, and dark cherry. A long, smooth finish with well-integrated tannins and lingering notes of dark fruit and oak completes this elegant and bold expression of Georgian winemaking.
